The organization is excited to announce our new roster for the competitive battle royale video game, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS. After a few months of trying out players and teams, we’re thrilled to have the former members of ‘Team CC‘ join CheckSix to play alongside Lloyd “Shaffer” Shaffer. CheckSix PUBG will continue to compete in the Auzom Premier League, PUBGOnline.com NA Showdown League, ESULeague NA Squad FPP and the Curse Trials.
We would also like to thank Nick “durbdawg” Durbin, Jeremy “TheOneJ” O’Neal and Joe “Acidelus” Colacino, for their continued support and commitment to CheckSix and competitive PUBG they’ve put in over the past few months as we finalized the roster.
Lloyd “Shaffer” Shaffer
How long have you been playing games competitively?
I have been gaming since I was 15.
What games did you start on?
My competitive career started in Counter-Strike 1.6, Source, and Global Offensive.
What’s your history with Battle Royale?
I switched to H1Z1 for a short time and competed in the televised competition known as “Fight For the Crown”. I am now playing PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUND and I am very excited about what’s to come.
What are your thoughts on PUBG?
This game is exactly what eSports was looking for. I haven’t had this motivation and excitement for a game in a long time. I look forward to using this drive to bring the CheckSix organization to an elite level.
Stephen “sksmiNix” Sweet
Tell us a little bit about yourself and how long you’ve been gaming?
My name is Stephen “sksmiNix” Sweet, I started gaming competitively around 1999-2000.
How long have you been playing video games?
I attended my first Counter-Strike lan at 9 years old. I Played CS at a high level until 2006 when I retired from PC gaming for 3 years.
How’d you get connected with the rest of the team?
Well, I came back to gaming earlier this year. I was very excited when PUBG came out and I quickly realized I could play this game at a very high level. I linked up with “Brokz” and we decided to make our own team. Along the way we picked up “Jakenofff” and now we’ve partied up with “Shaffer” for CheckSix Gaming.
What’s your objective for the team this year?
Same as every team out there, the goal is to be a consistent top team around the world as this game continues to grow.
Jacob “Jakenofff” Shimp
What was your first video game?
I started gaming when the original Turok on the N64.
How long have you played competitively?
I’ve always had a competitive vibe to me playing sports throughout my childhood. This has driven me to have the desire to be one of the best.
What are your thoughts about PUBG?
With the release of PUBG, the game clicked with me and I could not put it down. Before too long, I found myself wanting more, so I joined “CC” as my first competitive team.
How much time do you think you spend playing PUBG?
I have spent a majority of my time to playing/practicing PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS. I am typically streaming with the team refining my skills, so that I am ready during competitive game play.
Sean “Brokz” Neel
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Sean “Brokz” Neel and I grew up playing games ever since I was a kid
How’d you get started in competitive gaming?
My first real commitment to high level gaming was playing different MMO’s at the age of 7 before eventually transitioning into competitive WoW. I’ve always been an MMO player which led to my role in PUBG as a team shotcaller (IGL).
What makes you a great teammate?
The dynamic between tactical play and FPS is what makes PUBG unique and I believe I have great game instinct, which allows me to succeed at this game.

I am very fortunate for the opportunity to compete in a high level under the CheckSix organization. I believe the teams synergy and communication will allow us to compete at a high level as we work towards staying a top tier team.
